All of my personal travel, accommodation choice is a very important part of the planning process. I try not to go on a group of packages in the study of Asia, they usually take me cashew factories, gem merchants, and birds nest restaurants, none of which appeal to me. I also often get put in hotels, which are packed and rather groups of travelers were brought to the travel agent.
Internet is my best source for travel planning, I get great deals on hotels, transport and local mechanisms and very good information, such as reviews and recommendations from fellow travelers.
In carrying out personal travel budget of the middle class, it is not as simple as business trips, where I can get a reliable network of hotels and book. I personally choose their housing based on the following:
1. Location – close to the following, depending on the purpose of the trip:
A. Skytrain / subway (to places such as Bangkok, Singapore, London, etc.)
B. Shopping center (s) or point of interest, a 10-15 minute walk is acceptable
C. Good hangouts, e.g. cafes and pubs / bars / clubs
D. Beach or anything in this regard (for total relaxation, the isolation may have therapeutic value. Personally, I like the look of the rice field, when the island of Bali)
For space, I’ll try to stay away from the main street, entertainment in a row (knock on music at night is not fun, nor to the people raising the half-naked women), brightly lit neighboring buildings (which are quite common in Hong Kong),
2. Price – a very important factor, some sites offer very good discounts, here are some I recommend, Asia Travel, Asia Hotels, Asia Best Hotel, purulent Travel. Asia Travel was the most reliable and no issue with the online payment so far. For country-specific travel, there are other sites, some local, which offer the best discounts. I’ll discuss this in the relevant article. It is best to always compare offers from several sites, sometimes you can save quite a lot – more money can always go back to the shopping budget: p
3. Feedback from our guests – I use this site Tripadvisor religion, they give a rating of hotels, as rated by a trip on a number of criteria. This is important because the image is available in hotels, usually not accurate. Often I went to several hotels, travelers have noted that it was old and dirty, important facts that you can not get on the brochures or hotel Web sites.
4. Clean – I’m a virgin and a clean environment for me is very important. Clean carpets, bedding, walls and bathroom is not required. God forbid that in the room or sheets smell. I can not sleep otherwise. I would donate a small room for cleanliness at any time. Try to choose hotels that have recently opened or recently renovated. Regarding the latter, be sure to put you in the new wing.
That aside, get out, explore and have fun! Placement is important, but please do not stay home and study room wall during travel. It should be just the place for a relaxing holiday in the preparation of an exciting journey ahead for the next day.
